Scarlet and Violet Subzero Used (SV SU) is an unofficial usage-based tier below the unofficial usage-based tier of Zero Used (ZU). SV SU follows Smogon-wide clauses, bans in higher tiers, and disallows Pokemon which had 4.52% usage or greater on the SV ZU ladder. These usage stats can be found here!
We're very excited to have another SV SU forum tournament after the Home Kickoff earlier this year. SV SU looks quite different now after the release of the Teal Mask DLC. The release of many new NFEs, the drops of many ZU Pokemon, and a number of moveset additions have dramatically changed the metagame. This is the perfect opportunity to explore a fresh tier! If you have questions about SV SU, feel free to reach out to me! The winner will also get an exclusive role in the SU discord!
Specific Rules:
- This is a standard SV SU (Generation 9) tournament
- Matches are to be played on PS!
- All rounds will be a best of three, double elimination.
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
- Replays will be required for ALL rounds!
- The tournament will have rounds lasting 1 week each
Standard Rules and Clauses:
- General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same Pokedex number on their team.
- Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
- OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
- Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.
