Thanks a lot for the tremendous first slate of The WildCard Week!! I'll announce the result all at once! Posting the rules & info again!

For those who hadn't participated in the previous slates, you are allowed to post new & exiting sets for each one of them (only applicable if you haven't participated in that slate), keeping the BanList in mind!!

For those who had participated in the previous slates, you are also allowed to modify your sets, meaning you can't remove any item or move (unless they're nerfed or banned), but can definitely add some!!

If this all confuses you, but you still wish to participate, you can definitely reach out to me on my Discord or Smogon Convo :-D!!

Make sure to hurry, because each slate lasts only 2 days! The next Wildcard Week is estimated to begin on December 12, 2023 (where the slates will be even smaller!!)

Slate - 2 (Dragonite)

:sv/dragonite:

With the combination of Multiscale, solid natural bulk, a high Attack stat, valuable typing, reliable recovery options and Dragon Dance, Dragonite boosts up & becomes a deadly set-up sweeper.

With last time winner being Ryomathekillers Hurricane + Thunder Rain Wallbreaker Dragonite Set, we had received insane amount of sets. Do you think that's enough? Definitely NO!! Let's see if RainNite saves its position, or a newcomer becomes the Next Best Thing!!

Two questions:
1. Who likes dropping dracoes?
2. Who likes dropping dracoes
...
Twice?

The idea is simple. Draco Meteor. This set was originally an agility special set, but dragon dance seemed better because it gave strong earthquakes and it can bluff pure physical dragonite.

Idk what else to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so I hope y'all enjoy the set

Rain Dragonite 2

:sv/Dragonite:

Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 104 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Aqua Tail / Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Aqua Jet / Extreme Speed

Like a special Rain Dnite, but physical; With the fall of Azumarill to UU (and likely the fall of Empoleon as of this month), Dragon-Water coverage hits almost all targets in OU for at least neutral damage, and with Tera Water and a boost from rain Dragonite can function as a physical rain sweeper that also provides defensive value for a rain team with its Multiscale ability.

Dragon Dance-boosted Outrages do massive damage to neutral targets, and while Extreme Speed is a stronger option typically used on Dragonite, the lower power option of Aqua Jet is powered up by rain and also can finished off a weakened Gholdengo. Aqua Tail is a strong STAB option post-Tera that can 2HKO defensive Gliscor without any boost, while Waterfall loses some power but cannot miss.

While providing more power to its rain-boosted moves, Tera Water also functions as a good defensive Tera for Dragonite, flipping its Ice Beam weakness to a resistance while also removing weaknesses to Rock and Fairy. The given spread outspeeds Ogerpon and Iron Moth at +1, with max attack investment and an Adamant nature to maximise power and remaining EVs invested in bulk.
Outrage Calcs:
252+ Atk Dragonite Outrage vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Dondozo: 195-231 (38.6 - 45.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ Atk Dragonite Outrage vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 183-216 (60.1 - 71%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Dragonite Outrage vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rillaboom: 358-423 (104.9 - 124%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Dragonite Outrage vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Manaphy: 328-387 (96.1 - 113.4%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Dragonite Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ogerpon-Wellspring: 382-450 (126.9 - 149.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Dragonite Outrage vs. 252 HP / 172+ Def Amoonguss: 217-256 (50.2 - 59.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

With Outrage, Dragonite has a very strong STAB option to muscle through walls, Sp.Def Dondozo being cleanly 3HKOd while standard Toxapex dies to +1 Outrage into Outrage (if they opt to Haze away your boosts). Other common water resists such as Rillaboom, Manaphy and Ogerpon-Wellspring take massive damage or are OHKOd by +1, while a standard Amoonguss is 2HKOd by unboosted Outrage.

Aqua Tail Calcs:
252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Tail vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Gliscor: 204-242 (57.9 - 68.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
252+ Atk Dragonite Aqua Tail vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Gliscor in Rain: 204-242 (57.9 - 68.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
252+ Atk Dragonite Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Great Tusk in Rain: 264-312 (60.8 - 71.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Tail vs. 236 HP / 0 Def Kingambit in Rain: 213-252 (53.2 - 63%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 88 Def Zamazenta in Rain: 204-240 (52.5 - 61.8%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Great Tusk in Rain: 444-524 (102.3 - 120.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Under rain or with Tera Water, Aqua Tail becomes a 135BP attack that hits many defensive targets in the tier such as Gliscor and Great Tusk super effectively. Using both lets you do massive damage to neutral targets like Kingambit and Zamazenta, while a further boost from Dragon Dance gives this enough power to OHKO bulky targets like max Phys.Def Great Tusk. Waterfall is still a strong option, but misses out on the crucial 2HKO on Gliscor with Tera Water or rain up while also missing the 2HKO on bulky Kingambit with Tera Water under rain.

Aqua Jet Calcs:
252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 124 Def Iron Moth in Rain: 282-332 (93.6 - 110.2%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Jet vs. 224 HP / 0 Def Cinderace in Rain: 422-498 (118.2 - 139.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gholdengo in Rain: 172-204 (54.6 - 64.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Tera Water Dragonite Aqua Jet vs. +1 0 HP / 4 Def Sneasler in Rain: 168-198 (55.8 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

With Tera Water, Aqua Jet becomes a very scary option to pick off frailer targets, especially with rain and Dragon Dance to boost its power further. Notably, at +1 it 2HKOs 0 bulk Gholdengo and even a Grassy Seed-boosted Sneasler, allowing it to pick them off if already weakened.
Pre-Tera Calcs:
+4 252+ Atk Sneasler Dire Claw vs. 128 HP / 0 Def Multiscale Dragonite: 225-264 (63.3 - 74.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+3 252 SpA Manaphy Dazzling Gleam vs. 128 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 181-213 (50.9 - 60%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 132 SpA Iron Moth Dazzling Gleam vs. 128 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 127-150 (35.7 - 42.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Iron Valiant Moonblast vs. 128 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 292-345 (82.2 - 97.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Post-Tera Calcs:
+3 252 SpA Manaphy Energy Ball vs. 128 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Tera Water Dragonite: 204-240 (57.4 - 67.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 132 SpA Iron Moth Energy Ball vs. 128 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Tera Water Dragonite: 142-168 (40 - 47.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Iron Valiant Thunderbolt vs. 128 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Tera Water Dragonite: 185-218 (52.1 - 61.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Fairy Enamorus Moonblast vs. 128 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Tera Water Dragonite: 159-188 (44.7 - 52.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

As usual, Multiscale gives great one-time defensive utility to Dragonite, allowing it to live hits from sweepers like Sneasler, Manaphy, Iron Moth and even Iron Valiant. Tera lets it handle mons that threaten it either through Multiscale or after Multiscale is broken, resisting Ice-type attacks and giving it a great neutral defensive typing.

Defensive Trapping D-nite

:sv/dragonite:
Dragonite @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Fire Spin / Roar
- Encore / Thunder Wave
- Hurricane/ air slash

This is the same premise of last time, trapping the opponent and gradually killing them from chip. Hurricane luring tusk into an ohko with the help of modest nature, then encore locking the opponent them into hazards and the likes after being trapped, rendering them useless. Roost + multiscale made it take negative damage from each attack as they die from attacks. T-wave+ air slash can also be used for para flinching :) Ps: boots is a better option probably since hatt is now trash.

New option

Roar turns it from a trapper, to a h-stack abuser, constantly swapping the opponent out to rack up hazard damage, killing tusks who try to get rid of the hazards, crippling them even further with para if needed.

J > K > A > I > E > H > F > L > C > D > M > G
#1, J: Real boss set, who needs longevity when you have Life Orb Outrage?
#2, K: Maybe a product of the meta rn but this loads very well into Scor and that's enough to be a good set (needs a couple more speed EVs though).
#3, A: This is a very cool concept that could lure physically defensive walls like Great Tusk pretty well.
#4, I: This is just standard Dragonite but with a worse Tera type over Normal, good set in general but no points for creativity.
#5, E: Maybe not necessarily a good option on Dragonite, but great surprise factor and it's not too weak.
#6, H: Setting up on Gliscor, Pex and even Cinderace is fun but it's not hard to take advantage of sleep turns.
#7, F: Silk Scarf Ekiller can be a strong option, though Ice Spinner for Scor is now preferred over Cane for Tusk.
#8, L: Dnite can provide some longevity to rain builds, although there's very little justification for using this over Zapdos.
#9, C: Fun trapping set, somewhat lacks targets to trap aside from Tusk which you just Hurricane on the switch anyway and Corv/Scor which you can't really touch.
#10, D: A mixed Dnite is cool but uninvested, unboosted physical attacks aren't going to come in handy often.
#11, M: Idea is cool but doesn't really have a place in the metagame right now.
#12, G: Sub Roost defensive Dragonite should have enough speed to Substitute on Gliscor, and especially with only unboosted Espeed + Dtail won't accomplish much (Tera Blast is even worse).

I>F>B>E>L>A>K>J>H>D>G>M

Guess what ima actually do them this time!

I: basic, but very effective, with ice/ ground coverage hitting almost everything, especially great since wash Tom is now kinda mid/ bad

F: hurricane lure + normal offensive set is quite nice since quite a few tusks now run ice spinner because of gliscor.

B: nice overall powerful moves, especially rain boosted aqua tail/ waterfall to cook gliscor and tusk.

E:haha specs Dracos go brrrr

L: bulky special rain abuser hits quite hard especially with surf luring gli

A: haha double Dracos go brrrr

K: gli who? Fr tho, this set is kinda heat when I comes to denying tusk and status, but struggles when opponent has power to break sub easily.

J: the moves hit extremely hard, but trying to clean games when your constantly taking damage after taking DMG when trying to set up.

H: kinda gimmicky, but renders gli completely useless when your asleep.

D: the mixed set is nice in some cases, but struggles with gli, and without any setup, your Phys move are hitting like a wet paper towel.

G: is kinda gimmicky, but can prove useful in certain teams ( mainly h-stack) and loves to abuse gliscor and other defensive Mons.

M: yaaaay my favourite move, wrap.... Hate to break it to you, but it ain't gen 1 anymore

The cat is back from the depths of UU...
It's bulk investment actually has some new perks. Mainly ogerpon water and gliscor, with taunt kinda shutting down temporarily, and if you can knock it before it can get toxic or healing, then you can go HARD. Let's see what else new this cat gets to play with...

:alomomola: ooooh a new fish to swallow...

:greninja: this cat ain't french, but it'll looove these frog legs before it goes sicko mode ( battle bond).

:manaphy: I'd make another dad joke about this, but I don't know what animal it is lol

:samurott hisui: never bring a sword to a circus, huh. Never saw that coming.

Also great tusk can't setup hazards but this thing can with taunt, even more so with ting. With the hazard based meta, this Mon can setup lots of spikes, and deny hazards on other mons, and this guy especially shines Vs gli IF it can get a free switch in.

Fling 'Twave' spikes paralysis spreader lead...?

Ability: Overgrow
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Spikes

Idea is to use fling against any non-ground type and leaf storm the grounds, providing both paralysis support and the usual duties of spikes at the same time, allowing a better position to let it get spikes against an ideal lead.
As the rule suggests, you are not allowed to post any new set if you had already posted on last time (in this case your Choice Specs Meowscarada)!! This set is disallowed!!

Sorry
