[SET]
Physical Breaker (Arceus-Ground) @ Earth Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance / Swords Dance
- Gravity / Stone Edge
- Recover / Gravity
[SET COMMENTS]
Arceus-Ground can act as a terrifying physical breaker and cleaner. As a bulky Ground-type that can limit Volt Switch users, Arceus Ground can defensively answer some Pokemon such as Gouging Fire and Regieleki, while offering an offensive presence that has the power to lure in and OHKO common Pokemon like Blissey, Corviknight, Ho-Oh, and Galarian Slowking. Dragon Dance allows Arceus-Ground to boost it's Speed to pressure offense by outspeeding threats like Diancite Hoopa-Unbound, Absolite Iron Moth, and Regieleki at +1. Alternatively, Swords Dances can boost attack much quicker so that more defensive answers like Bulk Up Corviknight and Iron Defense Garganacl are easily dealt with. Access to Gravity limits all forms of counterplay through Flying-type immunities and the common Levitate transformational items such as Latiasite Magearna, Latiasite Solgaleo, Ho-Oh and Pinsirite Garganacl. However, requiring an extra turn of setup isn't always ideal, so options like Stone Edge, Flare Blitz and Recover can also be used. Arceus requires support from teammates that can get up entry hazards to help facilitate its breaking potential, making setters like Hisuian Samurott, Garganacl, and Hisuian Arcanine good partners. Additionally Arceus Ground struggles to break through Flying-types like Pinsirite Great Tusk and Sablenite Lugia that aren't weak to a Gravity Earthquake, meaning strong special attackers such as Latiasite Solgaleo, Lunala, and Red Orb Lugia offer good synergy. Physically defensive Water-types such as Milotic and Arceus-Water also pose a roadblock to Arceus-Ground sweeping so teammates such as Raging Bolt and Urshifu-Rapid-Strike that can threaten and chip down these Pokemon's HP make for good partners.
