Hydrapple serves as a solid balance breaker in the meta, using its bulk and offensive prowess to handle Pokemon like Excadrill and Dragon Dance Kommo-o while also being scary for things like Tornadus-T and Metagross with a Nasty Plot up. It also has Regenerator to heal off any damage it took while doing so, allowing it to potentially repeat this process later in the game. Heavy-Duty Boots serves to make healing from Regenerator more effective while improving longevity by removing its vulnerability to entry hazards as it commonly has to utilize its great typing to switch into powerful wallbreakers like Excadrill, Ogerpon, and Barraskewda in rain. The EV spread allows Hydrapple to withstand two Secret Swords from Choice Specs Keldeo while also giving it very good odds to OHKO Assault Vest Tornadus-T at +2 after Stealth Rock with Draco Meteor. Fickle beam is an alternative move over Draco Meteor if you want to avoid the SpA drop while having a chance to deal more damage than Draco Meteor, allowing it to maintain boosts from Nasty Plot to remain a big threat after firing it off. However using Fickle Beam means you can miss out on KOs against things like Zapdos or Tornadus-T if the boost doesn't activate. Tera Steel improves its matchup against Ogerpon-C while also giving a Toxic immunity which is helpful against Toxapex and Mandibuzz, a Flying resist for setting up a Nasty Plot in front of tornadus-therian, and a Fairy resist useful for dodging an OHKO from a Choice Banded Azumarill's Play Rough in case of emergency. However doing so makes you weak to Excadrill, as by using Tera Steel you give up your Ground resistance for a weakness to it, and removes your quad resistance to Water and Electric, making it not as effective into rain and certain Volt Switch users such as Sandy Shocks and Rotom-W.

Hydrapple acts as a solid breaker for balance and bulky offensive playstyles, using its defensive profile to get in on things that are normally quite offensively threatening or tough to break and then being a threat on its own. Slowking is a nice partner for it, forming a double Regenerator core that helps work around some problems for Hydrapple such as Tornadus-T and Tinkaton, while acting a second water resist in the event Hydrapple needs to tera. It also slow pivots to it with Chilly Reception after soaking up a hit, allowing Hydrapple to either be a bigger threat due to having more health or get its health back from Regenerator easier. Zapdos is also a good teammate for it, defensively answering Scizor and Lokix who can pose problems with their strong U-turns should they get in on Hydrapple. Other teammates that Hydrapple appreciates are ones that can help wear down Tinkaton into Earth Power range such as Lokix or Tornadus-T, things that can help pressure or defensively answer Flying types such as Tyranitar or Rhyperior, or things that can set Stealth Rock like Cobalion or the previously mentioned Rhyperior to get targets for boosted attacks into range easier. Both rain and sand teams appreciate Hydrapple's defensive profile in tandem with Regenerator, it can use an Eject Button on rain teams to provide a safe pivot to the more offensive rain threats like Barraskewda, Greninja, or Zapdos, while on sand it acts as a resist for attacks from things like opposing Excadrill and Keldeo which can be scary for sand teams otherwise.

Hydrapple serves as a solid balance breaker in the meta, using its bulk and offensive prowess to set up and take out opposing pokemon. It also has regenerator to heal off any damage it took while doing so, allowing it to potentially repeat this process later in the game if played well. (I understand the sentiment, but always assume that the reader is playing well, that's the point of the game.) Heavy duty boots serves to speed up the healing process (Make healing more effective thanks to nullifying entry hazards) while improving longevity in the face of powerful attacks. Its defensive profile is also quite important, holding off the likes of excadrill, both ogerpon-teal and ogerpon-cornerstone, and barraskewda in rain while also being useful in playing around iron boulder. (What part of Hydrapple's defensive profile specifically? The typing? The stats? Why is it effective at holding off these threats specifically?) The ev spread serves to allow hydrapple to withstand 2 secret swords from specs keldeo while also giving it very good odds to OHKO Assault vest Tornadus-Therian at +2 after rocks with draco meteor. Fickle beam is an alternative move over draco meteor if you want to fish for the 30% to have an extra 40 power over draco while avoiding the sp atk drop (I feel like you could also make a mention of how it's effective into bulkier teams since you get to keep your boosts and stay threatening for longer compared to Draco). Tera steel improves its matchup against Ogerpon-Cornerstone while also giving a toxic immunity which is helpful against toxapex and mandibuzz, a flying resist for setting up a nasty plot in front of tornadus-therian, and a fairy resist useful for dodging an OHKO from a boosted Azumarill's play rough in case of emergency. However doing so makes you weak to excadrill, as by using tera steel you give up your ground resistance for a weakness to it, and removes youre quad resistance to water and electric, making it not as effective into rain and certain volt switch users such as sandy shocks and rotom-wash.

Hydrapple acts as a solid breaker for balance and bulky offensive playstyles, using its defensive profile to get in on things that are normally quite offensively threatening or tough to break and then being a threat on its own. Slowking is a nice partner for it, forming a double regen core that answers some threats to hydrapple while also acting as a pivot (I would specifically add that Chilly is good in this scenario because of the negative priority, meaning Hydrapple doesn't have to eat a hit coming in either) to it after soaking up a hit, allowing hydrapple to either be a bigger threat due to having more health or get its health back from regenerator easier. Other teammates that hydrapple appreciates are ones that can force air balloon tinkaton’s balloon to pop such as lokix or tornadus-therian, or things that can help pressure or defensively answer flying types such as Iron boulder or rhyperior. Rain teams appreciate hydrapple's defensive profile in tandem with regenerator, it can use an eject button on rain teams to provide a safe pivot to the more offensive rain threats like barraskewda, greninja, or zapdos. (They're less real these days, but might be worth a quick cliffnote that the sand duo also appreciates Hydrapple since, ironically, sand teams get blasted by Excadrill)

Hydrapple serves as a solid balance breaker in the meta, using its bulk and offensive prowess to set up and take out opposing Pokemon. Give examples here, what does NP let it break that it might struggle to otherwise? It also has Regenerator to heal off any damage it took while doing so, allowing it to potentially repeat this process later in the game. Heavy-Duty boots serves to make healing from Regenerator more effective while improving longevity by removing its vulnerability to entry hazards as it commonly has to utilize its great typing to switch into powerful wallbreakers like... in the face of powerful attacks. Its defensive profile is also quite important, its typing allows it to hold off the likes of excadrill, ogerpon-teal, and barraskewda in rain while also being useful in playing around iron boulder and ogerpon-cornerstone due to its bulk being serviceable enough to withstand their rock stab decently. I just merged this with the Boots mention so just move some of the examples there instead. The EV spread allows hydrapple to withstand 2 secret swords from Choice Specs keldeo while also giving it very good odds to OHKO Assault Vest Tornadus-Therian at +2 after Stealth Rock with draco meteor. Fickle beam is an alternative move over draco meteor if you want to fish for the 30% to have an extra 40 power over Draco Meteor while avoiding the sp atk SpA drop, allowing it to maintain boosts from nasty plot to remain a big threat after firing it off. I'd mention the whole extra power chance after the point of not lowering your SpA. Then make a small note that it can be unreliable as you can miss out on KOs against Zapdos and Tornadus-T if you don't activate. Tera Steel improves its matchup against Ogerpon-Cornerstone while also giving a toxic immunity which is helpful against toxapex and mandibuzz, a flying resist for setting up a nasty plot in front of tornadus-therian, and a fairy resist useful for dodging an OHKO from a boosted Choice Band If it is BD then Knock just KOs anyway so it is just for CB calcs Azumarill's play rough in case of emergency.

Slowking is a nice partner for it, forming a double regen core that answers some threats to hydrapple while also slow pivoting to it with chilly reception after soaking up a hit, allowing hydrapple to either be a bigger threat due to having more health or get its health back from regenerator easier. This info is good but you need to give examples. What is Slowking helping check for Apple? Other teammates that hydrapple appreciates are ones that can force air balloon tinkaton’s balloon to pop such as lokix or tornadus-therian, Sure, but tbh it can do this itself quite reliably. Also, Lokix does not want to lose its item to remove the Balloon. I'd just focus on how they can wear Tink down into EP range. or things that can help pressure or defensively answer flying types such as Iron boulder or rhyperior. Both rain and sand teams appreciate hydrapple's defensive profile in tandem with regenerator, it can use an eject button on rain teams to provide a safe pivot to the more offensive rain threats like barraskewda, greninja, or zapdos, while on sand it acts as a resist for attacks from opposing excadrill and keldeo which can be scary for sand teams otherwise.

Mention Zapdos as a partner as it can punish Scizor and Lokix that commonly come in vs Hydrapple, the latter needing a free turn ofc.

So you talked about the EV spread letting it potentially KO AV Torn after rocks so it would be wise to mention in the team options some rock setters. You can link this in where you bring up Rhyperior and just mention any others if you want.

Just some general notes for you that will help for future write-ups:

  • https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/spelling-and-grammar-standards.3712738/ You can find everything in here regarding Grammar though it is quite long. The main points I want to highlight are Pokemon names, items, moves, types, and abilities should always be capitalized. I began editing some of these but there are too many so do a go over and fix most of them, please.
  • Some Pokemon can have their names shortened. There is a list or mentions in that thread I linked (I think) E.g. Tornadus-Therian can just be Tornadus-T or Rotom-Wash to Rotom-W.
  • Don't shorten terms like Draco Meteor into Draco or Choice Specs to Specs.

Overall the content is great so good job. Tag me on Discord when you've made the changes so I can just do a glance over then it can be marked as 1/2. If you have any questions tag on Discord too.

Melt Gibson Good job with the AM check, a lot of those points I would probably have asked to implement myself too. I don't have any issues with the stuff you brought up. Just take a look at some of the comments I made in my check of small things you might have missed and if you ever notice the more obvious GP issues like names etc. feel free to point them out.

Edited to remove iron boulder due to its ban, placed tyranitar over it in the teammates section as it is another mon that pressures flying types.
