FAQ

1. What is National Dex Doubles Ladder Tournament?

In this tournament players will create fresh accounts and try to obtain the highest ranking on the ladder as possible. The highest ranking qualifiers from each week will qualify for the single elimination stage of the tournament, with the highest ranking player from each week getting a bye in the first round of single elimination. There will be four weeks with three players qualifying each week. Players may only qualify once, leading to a 12 player single elimination stage. The single elimination rounds will be played in a best-of-three format with players seeded based on their qualifying Elo.

2. What is National Dex Doubles Double Elimination?
This is an unseeded double elimination tournament where players will remain in the tournament until they lose two sets. As with all tournaments, you may switch teams between games. Sets will be played in a best-of-three format.

3. What is National Dex Doubles Swiss?
This will be a Swiss-styled tournament. We will not be locking in the exact format (number of rounds and record required for top cut) until signups, as previous Swiss tournaments have had to make changes to the duration of the tournament. We are expecting between three to five rounds of Swiss, followed by a top cut where players with an X-1 record will qualify. Top cut will be played in a single elimination format.

4. When will these tournaments happen?
The starting date for each tournament is listed next to their point structure, on the standings sheet and will also be listed in a schedule below. Note that these dates are based on the start of the tournament, not the date signups will be made available. Signups will typically go up one week prior to the starting date.
